When the original coastal deposits of northwestern Madagascar were exhausted, miners discovered a new seam deeper in the rock, one that produced stones with a distinctly different character: richer color saturation, more pronounced orbicular patterning, and in many pieces, pockets of sparkling druzy quartz nestled within the orbs themselves. This sphere is cut from that material. At 980g and
