Mouton Rothschild low shoulder- 1969 (750ml) Joe K not exhibiting the hard edgeI was always under the impression that the '69 Mouton Rothschild was an unqualified failure, as well it should have been given the difficulty of the vintage I was wrong. While brick in color, the wine has an engaging forest floor cedar smoked meat quality and a Right Bank Merlot like warmth to it. Medium bodied, balanced acidity, and moderately lengthy finish.
