Georgian Black Dot Paste Earrings fabergé The battle was costly forDATE: Georgian, c. 1780 A fantastic pair of Georgian black dot paste single stone earrings dating from the late 18th Century. The highly domed paste gemstones are foil backed to enhance their brightness, and remain full of fire and life to this day. The stones rest in silver "pie crust" settings, a sort of amalgamation of claw and rub over, and have later added gold ear wires. The black dot in the middle of the stone has been painted on to replicate
