Moorcroft Millside Jug Brand_Richard Cooper In church Wardle’s own hymnsCharles Rennie Mackintosh moved to Millside, Walberswick, in 1914, where there was a small artists' colony. Here he produced some of the finest watercolour flower studies of his career. Flowers such as tulips reoccurred in his art and continued in his later textile designs. It was these floral motifs that inspired Rachel. Her stylised tulips and lattice work have a jewel like quality, enhanced by the clever use of coloured tubelining slip H 18. 5cm
