Victorian Gold & Enamel Crucifix Pendant cartier Perseus was able to beheadDATE: Victorian, c. 1860 An incredible antique crucifix pendant dating from the mid Victorian period, circa 1860. The cross is modelled in 9 karat gold, with an amazingly detailed enamel rendering of Christ with a chased star halo. Above is the initialism INRI, which represents the Latin inscription: IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDORVM, or "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews" (John 19: 19).
