THE GREAT BLACK BULL on Buttery Soft DK - Hand-Dyed Yarn active colorways I spun a 2-ply skeinThe Great Black Bull was inspired by the cave painting found in Lascaux, France, in 1940. This is one of many cave paintings found there but probably the most stupendous and certainly the largest at more than 17 feet wide! The artists used the shape of the rocks themselves to make the bull look 3 dimensional. Archeologists estimate that it was made around 20,000 years ago. The colors are black, deep blue verging on green, and several shades of brown.
